Country Classic Vibes | The White Magnolia | Kentwood, LA

We absolutely adore Mackenzie and her entire family - we were a part of her sister’s wedding a few years back and got to see the entire krewe again! Mackenzie and Luc chose The White Magnolia for their wedding because she loves “the rustic barn and beautiful spaces and Luc loves the country” and this venue delivers all of that and more!

How did you meet?

Luc and I both went to Louisiana Tech University and had many mutual friends, so we had heard each other’s names but had never met. Post college, I moved to Dallas, Luc still lived in Ruston, but some of our friends from college also lived in Dallas so they brought up my name to Luc, and he decided to reach out to me and ask me on a date. We did 6 months of long distance, then he moved to Dallas and 2 months later we were engaged! We were engaged for 6 months and now have been married for 5 months - it’s been the best!

It was important to MacKenzie to soak it in! She says “the day goes by so fast so have a slow, relaxing morning with your girls” so we provided her with 4 artists to make sure that everyone felt relaxed and pampered on the morning of the wedding before Ashleigh Jane Photography arrived!

The Proposal

A group of our friends went on a beach trip. One evening, Luc and I went on a walk on the beach, which is when he proposed. Our friends set out a blanket and rose petals - I was shocked and had no clue, but Luc was acting a little off so now looking back I can see why!
