How do you Burlesque?

The new film Burlesque is coming out with Cher & Christina Aguilera and I'm a little more than excited about it.

Glitter, Dancing, Singing and fabulous scantly clad women - yes please! This past year we did a calendar with The Pit Krewe - a group that raises awareness about pit bulls and it was called Pitbulls, Pistons and Pinups. (It's a 2011 calendar so you should def get one!) It was super fun working with the girls and creating fun pin up inspired looks - after this I was hooked and loooove the pin up look!

Recently on the runway and red carpet there have been pin up inspired looks with an update. It's more of a "smoky cat eye" where the shadow creates the cat eye look with a more dramatic pulled outward effect.

Here you can see a look Kristen Bell wears for the movie and it shows the pulled outward effect of the shadow that gives it more of the cat eye feel. This is a much more wearable look than some you will see in the movie and is perfect for a date or going out.

Along with this eye candy filled movie there are 2 big name make up companies coming out with make up sets to go along with the film. (MUFE is coming out with thier set in December)
