Oaks, Ferns, and An Arabian Horse styled shoot outside of New Orleans
About 30 minutes from the heart of the French Quarter, once stood the beautiful La Branche Plantation home. Built in 1792 by the German Zweig family, the plantation faced the Civil War, economic struggles, and a division of the property.
The grounds blossoming with life, history, and southern charm, it felt like a wonderful place for a shoot so gorgeous that it's featured on Swooned with photos by Alicia Parrino from Alicia Antoinette Photography in collaboration with Valerie Gernhauser from Sapphire Events.
Model Kerry Gridley, and her horse, Fleur, complimented the scenery effortlessly in her Sian gown from BHLDN and her lovely flower bouquet by Kim Starr Wise.

For this romantic shoot we created three hairstyles for our bride. First we kept the look very traditional with a jeweled headband and 2 tiered veil. For the second look we incorporated a modern twist on the flower crown with a soft and romantic up style. By placing a half crown in the brides hair we created interest by using flowers for a modern look. The final look was to take the back of the up style down to create a soft half up style. We often have brides request multiple looks to go with their wedding day vision.
