Q & A: What is Microblading

Verde Beauty Studio is excited to announce that we are now offering Microblading. When our aesthetician, Sarah Hains first told us about Microblading, we had several questions that I'm sure you have as well.

Q: What is microblading? 
A: Microblading is a Japanese method of creating a semi permanent eyebrow. This treatment is ideal for anyone with thin, light colored eyebrows or anyone looking to fill in their eyebrows with a natural, feathery effect.

Q. How long does microblading last?
A. Microblading can last any where from 1 to 3 years depending the clients skin type and how well the client takes care of their eyebrows. 

Q. How much does it cost?
A. Microblading costs between $300 and $450, which includes an After Care Kit and your first touch up.

Q. What is the maintenance?
A: Do not wear makeup around the eyebrow ridge area for 2 weeks. Most likely, you will scab but do not peel the scab. Rub the area with Vitamin E. Avoid water around the area for 2 weeks and apply the products from the After Care Kit.

Q. Does it hurt and will my eyebrows be swollen?
A. Sarah numbs the brow ridge to reduce pain. Every client is different, however you should not have any swelling but could potentially have some redness that will go away by the end of the day.

Q. How long does it take?
A. It takes 30 minutes for the Lidocain to settle to numb the eyebrow ridge and about an hour to an hour and a half to complete the microblading process.

Q. Can I get facials while I have microbladed eyebrows?
A. Yes.

Q. How long after my treatment can I apply makeup?
A. We recommend up to 2 weeks after your service. You can apply makeup to your face, however, it's best to avoid the eyebrows and skin around your eyebrows for 2 weeks.

Q. Can I get my eyebrows wet?
A. Yes, wait at least 2 week  

Q. Can I get microblading treatment done if I'm using retinal products?
A. No. Retinal breaks down collegian.

Q. Can I get other services done the day of my microblading?
A. Yes, many clients have waxing services and eyelash extensions done the same day as their microblading treatments.

Q. Can I get my eyebrows waxed and groomed after having microblading done?
A. Yes, after 2 weeks you can treat your eyebrows normally.
