Before the "I DO"s... :

How they met :

"Scott and I actually met on Match.com! We connected probably the day or two after I signed up for the site. We sent each other messages for about a month before we moved to texting - and then texted for a few weeks before we on a date."

The Proposal :

"Scott popped the question on a Saturday morning before we hit the road to tailgate for an LSU game. It was October 3rd - which I'll never forget because of the movie Mean Girls. We spent the day tailgating with friends and after coincidentally meeting photographer Frank Relle (cousin of Ben Relle, Scott's future Best Man), we had an impromptu engagement shoot under the stately oaks and broad magnolias."

Wedding Details :

What made you choose where you got married? :

"I've always loved the rich history of the Old State Capitol - and the stained glass is gorgeous."

What were your special details or parts of the wedding that were specific to you? :

"Our wedding was officiated by my middle school Louisiana History teacher, now a pastor, as was perfect for the historic Louisiana setting. Instead of a traditional guestbook, guests penned warm wishes in the pages of a book of historic Louisiana maps."

What did you choose to do as your favors? :

"We gave Grits and Gratitude: small cotton bags filled with stone-ground grits - complete with a recipe! Our welcome bags included a map of downtown Baton Rouge, pretzel rods dipped in red chocolate "Red Sticks",  Zapp's potato chips, and bottles of water."

Did you rock a #hashtag? :

"KeepingUpwiththeKornicks"

From the Bride... :

What is one thing you wish you would have known pre-wedding? :

"Honestly, all of my vendors - especially Rachel S. Henry, did a fantastic job of managing my expectations prior to the big day, so I felt very prepared. If there were any hiccups, I had no clue. We do wish we'd eaten more cake at our reception!"

Thoughts on the Verde team? :

"Amazing. Like most ladies, I am so critical of my own appearance and often focus in on my flaws. The Verde team made me look and feel so beautiful - I didn't even know I could feel that beautiful! So thank you so much for giving me that confidence and positivity on such a special day. My hair and makeup survived hours and hours of smiling and dancing and fun. Thank you SO much!!!"
