Natural Curls for a Natural Bride | Krista | New Orleans City Park

I absolutely ADORE curly haired brides when they want to work with their natural texture and in South Louisiana that can be a challenge but one that I love! Krista’s beautiful outdoor photos by Tia Nash in New Orleans City Park captured her natural style perfectly!

Krista wanted to use her natural hair texture for her wedding day look that incorporated a flower crown and the style could not be more perfect!

Prior to the wedding Krista let us know that she planned to wear her hair natually curly so we went over the steps that it would take to create the perfect curl. In Louisiana, when the humidity is high (let’s be real that’s alllll the time) it’s important to put in the work before the wedding day to maintain your curl pattern.

When working with our clients natural curl here are a few steps we recommend BEFORE the wedding day:

Prep your curls as you would normally before your preview
Get a “curly” cut for optimal bounce
DON’T come with “slept on” hair
