This past December, we got to be a part of an editorial styled shoot in New Orleans. We had the honor of working with an awesome group of vendors and really enjoyed being part of this beautifully bitter sweet tribute. This unique event was coordinated by the talented Rena Sweeny with Alchemy Events. The warehouse of Firefly Ambiance provided the perfect location and set decor for this shoot and Jessica Burke did an amazing job of capturing the beauty in it all!

Bridal Beauty Prep

Tina, head stylist and owner of Verde Beauty chose a very universal, but gorgeous, wedding look for our model. Allie had several wardrobe changes throughout the day and her classic makeup and elegant hair complimented a variety of gowns provided by MaeMe The Bridal Boutique and Pearl’s Place Bridal. Her low chignon was beautiful and easily paired with multiple headpieces and a stunning ombre veil from One Blushing Bride.

“When the announcement came that Mardi Gras 2021 was being cancelled, our hearts were heavy. This editorial embodies our heartbreak and is our tribute to not only the cancelled Carnival season, but also all the other weddings and events that have been cancelled, postponed or downsized due to the pandemic. We chose to photograph the editorial on location in the warehouse of Firefly Ambiance, a local decor rental company; we wanted to showcase all the celebratory settings that have been packed away while also offering a bit of hope that beauty can be found anywhere we choose to look and create it . ”
